• Frame. Bent, creased, or corroded members, and how square the door openings sit.

You get a written punch list ranked by what matters for the season. Anything urgent can be scheduled from it. Anything that can wait, waits.

What the inspection is not

It is not a promise about how a cage will do in a storm. Standard screen enclosures are engineered for insects and shade, not for hurricane-force wind and debris, and no inspection changes that. What it does is make sure the parts that are supposed to hold are holding, before the season starts.

A pre-season visit is where most stainless fastener renewals and makeovers get scheduled from, because the contractor has just seen every connection on the cage. Inspection findings that need a permit, such as structural frame repair, are handled through the City of Venice or Sarasota County when the work is scheduled.
